Tyson Fury defended his WBC world heavyweight title in style against British rival Derek Chisora on Saturday night.

The Gypsy King, back in the ring after reversing his decision to retire in April, claimed a dominant win after the referee stopped the fight in the 10th round.

Chisora had battled hard but was outclassed at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Fury was involved in extraordinary scenes after the fight as he was embroiled in a fierce war of words with Oleksandr Usyk and Joe Joyce.

Joe Joyce: “Fury had a measured approach, landing the shots. He was quite careful in there, I saw him at the end trying to get the uppercut.

“The way it was stopped, it needed to be. The referee maybe saw in Chisora’s eyes it was over, save him another round of beatings.”

On the Fury-Usyk-Joyce face-off: “I just barged in there, it got quite excitable! I’m in the right place, it’s exciting.

“I’ll take either. Like Fury was saying, if not Usyk then me. I can fight any of them afterwards, there are lots of great fights in the mix. I’m just waiting for these big fights.

“What Tyson would have to do is beat on him [Usyk], it would be a lot of shots from both of them.”

Derek Chisora: “Thank you Tyson, I really appreciate that. We are friends.

“There’s a big fight coming, everyone wants to see one champion in the heavyweight division.”

Chisora also thanked referee Victor Loughlin for stopping the fight.

Fury then lead the crowd in a chant of ‘Oh, Derek Chisora’ before adding: “What a tough man. I hit him with shots that would have sparked anyone else out, and he was calling me a little b****.”

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium crowd don’t like it but the referee was right to end it despite there being no big finale.

A very professional performance from Fury.

Tyson Fury vs Derek Chisora – round tenThe referee is not happy here and the end could be close one way or another.Fury pops out four quick jabs before leaning in with a left.Fury lands a major right hand and the referee nearly steps in to call time on this one but Chisora does continue.The champ lands another set of rights, lefts and uppercuts and War’s face is a mess now.Fury whips another set of punches in and now the referee does decide to call it off.

Chisora is battered and bruised but he is still in there as he feels the power of another Fury right hand.

War is backed up against the ropes once again and Fury unloads a heavy combo.

The champ tees off again and lands a big right down the middle before jumping back out to his favourite range.

Chisora then eats a massive right and is set stumbling back.

The bell sounds but War can barely walk back to his corner.

Chisora’s legs look wobbly again.But War comes forward again and tries to lands his own shots. He has a such a huge heart!Fury lands another uppercut. These are huge hits but somehow, Chisora is still in there and is still giving some back.Fury finds a big right to end the round and that rocked War. His mouth is busted up now too.

He backs his man into the corner and connects with two uppercuts.Chisora’s right eye is starting to close up.

It’s all Fury in truth.The two get hold of each other in the middle of the ring.Fury then lands a short left uppercut before another big right. Chisora is a true warrior but this is one-way traffic.Chisora continues to walk forward and eats another set of punches from Fury.Fury finds three smart rights to end the round.

Fury then gets Chisora up against the ropes again and goes back to work.The two come head-to-head and both get a ticking off from the referee.Fury catches Chisora with another huge right and War is sent staggering back to the corner. How much more can he take?

Chisora keeps trying to dip under shots and break through Fury’s guard but it isn’t really working.Fury finds a chopping right hand, great punch.

Tyson Fury vs Derek Chisora – round threeFury steps into a sharp, accurate right hand before another huge shot sends Chisora wobbling.War knows he will have to go on the attack and tries to come forward but walks onto a sickening shot from the champ.Fury finds two more quick uppercuts and Chisora is taking a lot of punishment here.Fury lands another flurry of clean hits, it’s top quality from the Gypsy King.Chisora then holds onto Fury and the two men get tangled up and dragged down to the canvas. Fury landed on his rival there, ouch!

War tries to find another huge right but misses this time.Chisora leans forward with two jabs but Fury battles back each time, landing with nice shots.Fury puts together a brilliant combo and then finds a fierce uppercut. Chisora felt that and the crowd go wild.Fury lands another quick uppercut and then a huge right and Chisora is hurt here.

Chisora comes out fast and takes centre-ring early. He unloads some huge hits right away. War lands some nice body shots but Fury takes them well.

Fury looks to get hold of Chisora but then goes through the gears and finds a nice combo.

Chisora dips low and eats a Fury uppercut. The champ then lands two decent jabs, he’s got into his stride.

Not the fireworks we wanted but an intriguing opening round.
